New York Doing What She Does Best

Looks like the "The Flavor of Love" groupie is hating on Jennifer Hudson's fiance, David Otunga. He is best known as "Punk", a contestant on her reality TV drama, "I Love New York". New York states that "He's really loving being Mr. Jennifer Hudson. I just hope people are marrying each other for the right reasons. It's a mixed match, it won't work. He'll be in her shadow like Al Reynolds was to Star Jones, like Stedman Graham is to Oprah." I guess New York would know. In retrospect, it is just like how she is living in the shadows of her 15 minutes gained from "Flavor of Love". This statement would have more bite if it were coming from someone with a better resume (does she even qualify as having one?) than herself. Homegurl has no skills other than running off at the mouth and giving people the pleasure of watching her antics which consist of nothing more than temper tantrums and buffunary. In the meantime, Jennifer, I wish you nothing but the best!

"That One"

Seems like just hours after the last presidential debate, where McCain blazingly referred to Obama as "that one", some constituents used that as an entrepreneurial opportunity. "That One" 08 is just one of many websites to launch t-shirts and other items geared towards supporting Obama. McCain's comment has been likened to past remarks Ross Perot made while referring to Blacks as "you people". But while others find McCain's wording offensive, Michelle Obama just recently did an interview with Larry King and she stated that she did not find the comment disrespectful nor was she offended. I must say, I admire the fact that she and Obama were able to brush their shoulders off of the situtation. I guess you do have to pick your battles. But another side of me is enjoying the fact that people were able to turn this around and make McCain swallow his own words. As the saying goes, "choose your words carefully...one day you might have to eat them".

Save That Money Gurl!

The screwed up economy should have everyone looking long and hard at their financial standing. Now is definitely the time to ensure you have an emergency fund and a budget plan in place. If you are like me, you are trying to find any means possible to cut corners and save more money.

Some people are naturally gifted at money management, while others require a little help from programs such as Microsoft Money. Well, I happened to run across an outstanding website that helps you budget....and it is free! The site is called Mint. You can set up bill payment, manage your budget, track where your money is going with each debit card transaction, and much more. Instead of spending your hard-earned money on other (and might I add expensive) programs that do pretty much the same thing, sign up on their website to get started on securing your financial future and freedom. Below is the link to the site:
